The end of August is always a fascinating time in Australian sport as the footy codes reach the pointy end and an Ashes Series inches closer by the minute. With so much excitement all around for sports fans, the Bulls Masters garnered a panel of the greatest minds in each code to delight the faithful at the Wynnum Lunch.
Leigh Matthews is known in these parts as the coach who delivered three AFL premierships to the Brisbane Lions but further South he’s known as the greatest player of the 21st Century. Either way, he’s one of the greatest minds in AFL. Leigh joined the current Australian rugby league coach, Kevin Walters on stage to share stories of their fabled careers and thoughts on the impending footy finals.

It was a hard act to follow, but one that legendary Australian fast bowler, Jeff Thomson took in his stride as he spoke irreverently about his career terrorising the worlds batsmen.

The Wynnum club have raised over $90,000 since they joined forces with the Bulls Masters a few years ago and this dinner will push that total higher again which is great news for a club that does so much good work in the community.
