The Bulls Masters Country Challenge is one of the most anticipated events on the Queensland Country Cricket calendar. This year marks the 14th running of the T20 event which is for Regional Queensland zones. South East Queensland won the very first Bulls Masters Country Challenge back in 2012, but ever since, it has been the Northern zones that have dominated. Far North Queensland Fusion, Central Queensland Seamers and the North Queensland Monsoons are three time champions, with the Gold Coast Thunder claiming two titles. Mackay/Whitsundays Nitros and Sunshine Coast Scorchers both have a title to their name whilst the Darling Downs Suns and the Wide Bay Flames are yet to hoist the Cup.
There are two pools who will play a round robin, and the top two in each pool will play off in the semi-final. The winners of the semi-final play the grand final on the famous Gabba, as a curtain-raiser to a Brisbane Heat Big Bash game later in the season.
Defending the title in 2026 is both the Central Queensland Seamers and the Sunshine Coast Scorchers after their historic tie in last year’s rain affected final!
