Coote Healy Charity Invitational
The Bulls Masters joined forces with the Men of League Foundation for the inaugural Coote-Healy Charity Invitational. Named after the founding chairmen of each respective organisation, the Coote-Healy saw rugby league royalty join some of Queensland Cricket's greats for a day of golf, good times and great food.
Allan Langer, Gordon Tallis, Ben Ikin, Mick Crocker, Ian Healy, Carl Rackemann, Andrew Gee and Jimmy Maher (to name a few) were among the big names mixing with corporate teams for the golf event held at the prestigious Brisbane Golf Club. The celebrity golf event was scooped by former Queensland Bulls fast bowler, Chris Swan.
After the golf, the event moved to Suncorp Stadium where the change room was set up as a replica of the Queensland State of Origin team. Guests shared stories with many of the players who ran out on to the Cauldron wearing the Maroon jersey.
Rugby League Hall of Famer, Ron Coote joined the party for the gala dinner that was held in the Paddington Room, where he joined Ian Healy on stage. Coote and Healy were interviewed by Ben Ikin, who later in the evening, also interviewed Allan Langer and Carl Rackemann.
