Womens Camp in Rockhampton Just the Tonic For Country Girls

September 25 2025

The Bulls Masters have been running intensive all-female cricket clinics in Regional Queensland hubs since the Mission Beach camp in 2022 and it has proven such a massive success.

This year, Brisbane Heat batting coach, Gavin Fitness was joined by Queensland Fire representatives Kira Holmes and Caitlin Mair to run the high-development training camp.

“It just gives these Country Queensland girls who aren’t in the Premier Cricket comp a chance to taste what it’s like to train at the top level”, Fitness says.

“Once they get a taste for how the best girls are training, they know what sort of level is required and so many of them have the talent to push on and be a part of it”, Fitness adds.

The current Queensland Fire team is riddled with females from Regional Queensland including Lucy Hamilton (Bundaberg), Bonnie Berry (Emerald), Jess Jonassen (Emerald), Sianna Ginger (Townsville) and Lucy Bourke (Warwick).
