Central to the Bulls Masters mission is to keep retired players engaged in the game, and provide opportunities for players to remain connected through their playing days, and after those days finish. The annual Maroon Cap Day is the vehicle which the Bulls Masters have initiated to bring cricketers who have represented the Queensland Fire, Bulls or Heat together to reunite.
As the famous quote from the 1989 movie, Field of Dreams goes, “Build it and they will come”, and they certainly did come to the Magee in Fortitude Valley. Players from every era of the game, from Ray Phillips (1978 – 1986) and Matin Kent (1974-1982), all the way to the members of the victorious Queensland Fire girls, fresh off their WNCL title, smiles still beaming as they mingled with the Queensland heroes of the past.

Members of the 1995 Sheffield Shield team were there, as were recently retired Queensland reps like Luke Feldman, Nathan Reardon and even current players like Bryce Street!
